Where to celebrate ‘Episode VII’ release in Central New York

Maxwell DeLorm created a 20 foot tall, 14 foot wide “Star Wars” TIE Fighter out of Christmas lights on his property in Munnsville. He and his friends made the hexagonal panel wings out of PVC pipes, chicken wire and metal wire. They wrapped everything with 9,900 red, blue and green holiday lights. The structure is a little more than 20 feet tall and 14 feet wide from wing to wing. Each wing spans about 15 feet wide.

On Dec. 11, the Syracuse Silver Knights will wear licensed custom “Star Wars” jerseys when they take on the Baltimore Blast. After the game, they will be auctioned off to benefit the Centerstate CEO Foundation. The first 1,000 kids aged 16 and younger will also receive a BlueRock Energy “light sword.”
